R & B Soul Search 2008 is just around the corner. Make sure you mark your calendar for the open audition dates at the Loft Nightclub. The dates are as follows:
May 10th; 12 pm - 4 pm
May 17th; 12 pm - 4 pm
May 24th; 12 pm - 4 pm
Competition dates for qualifying auditions are the following Fridays:
May 30th
June 6th
June 13th
Finale on June 27th will feature a guest critic / judge from Sony A & R
Judges / Guest Critics for this year's event include Kevin Johnson, Pop Music Critic for the St. Louis Post Dispatch; Mike Landau, President of Phat Buddha Recording Studios; Aloha Micheaux, American Idol Contestant.
PRIZES:
Grand Prize: A one-time recording contract with Sony Records and studio time at Phat Buddha Studios to record your original piece.
2nd Runner Up: $300 and a pair of concert tickets to an upcoming concert in St. Louis
3rd Runner Up: $100 and a local mall gift certificate valued at $50.
Not a singer but want to be involved? Come to the Loft and take in the smooth vocal stylings of our hand-picked contestants. The following day check this page. We will post video and audio clips and provide you with an opportunity to vote for one of your faves. You will only be allowed to vote once per round, so make it count!
